Hal Leonard LLC, formerly Hal Leonard Corporation, is the world's largest publisher of printed music, sheet music, songbooks, and music education materials. Founded in 1947 in Winona, Minnesota, by musicians Harold 'Hal' Edstrom, Everett 'Leonard' Edstrom, and Roger Busdicker after their band disbanded, the company began by arranging and selling school band music. It expanded under Keith Mardak's leadership from 1985, pioneering digital music products and acquiring complementary businesses, and is now headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
