H P Willmott

Hedley Paul 'Ned' Willmott was a British military historian renowned for his provocative works on naval and military history, particularly the First and Second World Wars. He studied History and Politics at the University of Liverpool, graduating in 1967, earned a doctorate from London University, and taught at institutions including the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Greenwich Maritime Institute, and in the United States. Willmott authored over a dozen books, including the acclaimed *The Great Crusade*, a complete history of the Second World War.
