Great Britain Public Record Office

The Public Record Office (PRO) was the official archive of the United Kingdom, established in 1838 to preserve and make accessible government and historical records. It later merged with other bodies to become part of The National Archives in 2003. As an institutional author, it published numerous historical document collections and guides.
