Gloria Naylor

Gloria Naylor was an acclaimed African American novelist known for her powerful depictions of Black women's lives. Her debut novel, "The Women of Brewster Place," won the National Book Award in 1983. She wrote several other critically praised works, including "Linden Hills" and "Mama Day," before her death in 2016.
