Glenn Obrien

Glenn O'Brien was an American writer, editor, and creative director who shaped American culture through his pioneering work in art, music, and fashion from the 1970s until his death in 2017. Beginning as editor of Andy Warhol's Interview magazine at age 23, he went on to co-found influential publications like Spin and Bomb, host the groundbreaking TV Party program, and serve as creative director for major fashion brands. Known as 'The Style Guy' for his long-running GQ column, O'Brien was a cultural arbiter who discerned important trends from fleeting fads throughout his nearly fifty-year career.
