Gillian Clarke
Gillian Clarke (born 8 June 1937) is a Welsh poet, playwright, editor, and translator from Welsh into English. Born in Cardiff, she became the National Poet of Wales from 2008 to 2016 and is widely known for poetry shaped by Welsh landscape, place, war, womanhood, and the passage of time.
