Gillian Chan

Gillian Chan is a Canadian children's author born in 1954 in Cleethorpes, England, who moved to Canada in 1990 and now lives in Dundas, Ontario. After teaching English for ten years, she began her writing career in 1994 with Golden Girl and Other Stories, which was shortlisted for the Mr. Christie's Book Award, and later wrote historical novels including The Carved Box and A Foreign Field.
