Gilda Nissenberg

Gilda Nissenberg was a Cuban-American educator, author, and scholar born in Havana, Cuba, who immigrated to New York City in 1962 and earned a PhD in Spanish Literature from the City University of New York in 1979. She taught for 25 years in Miami-Dade County Public Schools, served as a curriculum developer and College Board consultant, and authored several Spanish language grammar books, including the popular 'Practice Makes Perfect: Complete Spanish Grammar,' as well as co-authoring an AP Spanish prep guide. A dedicated community member, she was active in philanthropic work through St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Hallandale Beach, Florida.
