Germano Celant

Germano Celant (1940–2020) was an influential Italian art critic, curator, and historian who founded the Arte Povera movement in 1967 at age 27. He served as senior curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and as curator for the Fondazione Prada in Milan, playing a pivotal role in establishing Italian contemporary art on the international stage.
