Gerald A. Edgar

Gerald A. Edgar is a retired mathematician who earned his Ph.D. from Harvard University and served on the faculty at Northwestern University before spending 35 years at The Ohio State University.[3][5] He authored or co-authored five books, including the popular textbook *Measure, Topology, and Fractal Geometry* (1990), and has written 65 research papers; he also edited the 'Problems and Solutions' column for *The American Mathematical Monthly*.[3] Now living in Colorado, he passed away peacefully on May 30, 2025.[1][3]
