George Salmon

George Salmon was an Irish mathematician, Anglican theologian, and long-time Trinity College Dublin academic who made important contributions to algebraic geometry and invariant theory. He later devoted much of his career to theology and served as Provost of Trinity College Dublin from 1888 until his death in 1904.
