George Ritzer
George Ritzer is an American sociologist, Distinguished University Professor at the University of Maryland, and author best known for his concept of McDonaldization, which applies Max Weber's rationalization to the fast food industry and its global spread. He has extensively written on globalization, metatheory, consumption patterns, and postmodern social theory, with key works including The McDonaldization of Society (9th ed., 2019) and The Globalization of Nothing (2nd ed., 2007).[1][2]
