George M. Woodwell

George M. Woodwell was an American ecologist and pioneering climate scientist best known for founding the Woods Hole Research Center, now Woodwell Climate Research Center. His work helped shape understanding of forest ecosystems, climate change, and environmental policy, including efforts to address toxic substances and DDT.
