George Kent Kedl
George Kent Kedl is an American writer and memoirist best known for *We Ran Away to Sea*, a memoir built from his own account and letters from his late wife, Pamela Thompson Kedl. He grew up in Sheridan, Wyoming, studied at the University of Wyoming and the University of Oregon, served in the Peace Corps in Colombia, and later taught philosophy at South Dakota State University for more than twenty years before leaving academia to live aboard a sailboat.[1]
