George C McGavin
George C. McGavin is a British entomologist, author, academic, and television presenter born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1954. After 30 years as an academic at Oxford University, where he served as assistant curator of the entomology collections and lecturer, he became an award-winning television presenter for BBC Natural History Unit productions. He is widely recognized for documentaries including the Lost Lands series, Planet Ant, and the multi-award-winning After Life: The Strange Science of Decay, and currently serves as President of the Dorset Wildlife Trust.
