George A. Olah

George A. Olah was a Hungarian-American chemist best known for his pioneering work on carbocations and superacids, research that earned him the 1994 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. He later worked at the University of Southern California, where he also contributed to research on hydrocarbons, fuel chemistry, and the methanol economy.
