Geoffrey E. Hinton

Geoffrey E. Hinton is a British-Canadian cognitive psychologist and computer scientist known as the 'godfather of AI' for his foundational work on neural networks, backpropagation, and deep learning. He co-invented the Boltzmann machine and was awarded the 2018 Turing Award and the 2024 Nobel Prize in Physics for discoveries enabling machine learning with artificial neural networks.
