Gennady Spirin
Gennady Spirin is a renowned illustrator born in 1948 in a small city near Moscow, Russia, who graduated from the prestigious Strogonov Academy of Fine Arts. He is celebrated for his meticulously researched and exquisitely executed illustrations of fairy tales, classic tales, and folk tales, created in pencil and watercolor with distinctive attention to detail reminiscent of Northern Renaissance art. He immigrated to the United States in 1991 and now resides in Princeton, New Jersey, having received numerous international awards including Gold Medals from the Society of Illustrators and the Golden Apple of the Bratislava International Biennale.
