Gene Barretta

Gene Barretta is an American award-winning children's book author and illustrator, animator, and character designer, best known for books like Now & Ben: The Modern Inventions of Benjamin Franklin and Timeless Thomas: How Thomas Edison Changed Our Lives.[1][3] He holds a B.F.A. in Film Studies from New York University, has worked in film and television production including Sesame Street and Between the Lions, and is the older brother of Muppet performer Bill Barretta.[1][5][6] He grew up in Yardley, Pennsylvania, and currently lives outside Philadelphia.[1][2]
