Geeta Kothari

Geeta Kothari is an author, editor, and creative writing teacher born in New York City to Indian immigrant parents who arrived in the 1950s. She served as nonfiction editor of The Kenyon Review and directed the Writing Center at the University of Pittsburgh, where she taught creative writing. Her published works include the story collection I Brake for Moose and Other Stories (2017) and the edited anthology Did My Mama Like to Dance?: And Other Stories about Mothers and Daughters (1994), with her essays widely anthologized in publications like Best American Essays.
