Gay Talese
Gay Talese is an American writer and journalist born February 7, 1932, in Ocean City, New Jersey, to Italian immigrant parents. He is considered one of the pioneers of New Journalism, having helped define the genre through his work at The New York Times and Esquire magazine during the 1960s. His most celebrated works include the profile "Frank Sinatra Has a Cold" and numerous bestselling books exploring American history, culture, and institutions.
