Gary Snyder
Gary Snyder is an American poet, essayist, translator, and environmental activist associated with the Beat Generation and the San Francisco Renaissance. His work often blends nature, Zen Buddhism, and ecological themes, and he won the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry in 1975 for "Turtle Island."
