Garth Nix
Garth Nix is an Australian author specializing in children's and young adult fantasy novels, best known for series like the Old Kingdom (Sabriel, Lirael, Abhorsen), Seventh Tower, and Keys to the Kingdom. Born in Melbourne in 1963 and raised in Canberra, he became a full-time writer in 2001 after careers as a literary agent, book editor, publicist, and part-time soldier in the Australian Army Reserve. His books have sold over five million copies worldwide, appeared on major bestseller lists, and been translated into nearly 40 languages.
