Garrison Sposito
Garrison Sposito, born Garrison Gabriel Navarro in Los Angeles, California, is a Professor Emeritus of Ecosystem Sciences at the University of California, Berkeley, recognized as a world-leading authority on surface coordination chemistry and transport in porous media. He has authored two physics textbooks and seven books on soil chemistry, including The Chemistry of Soils, and has published 644 total works with an H-index of 88. Sposito is a Fellow of six international scientific societies, a Fulbright Lecturer in Theoretical Physics, a Guggenheim Fellow in Applied Mathematics, and was named a 'Legend in Environmental Chemistry' by the American Chemical Society in 2008.
