Gallie
Menna Gallie (1919-1990) was a Welsh novelist, translator, and public speaker known for her English-language novels and as the first translator of Caradog Prichard's Welsh novel *Un Nos Ola Leuad* into English as *Full Moon*. Born in Ystradgynlais, Powys, she was a lifelong Labour Party activist who rejected feminism and became famous for her trenchant lectures on politics, Welsh life, literature, and gender equality. She died from a stroke in Newport, Pembrokeshire.
