Gabriele vom Bruck

Gabriele vom Bruck is a German anthropologist and scholar of Yemen, with a focus on gender, memory, morality, and elite family histories. She received her DPhil from the London School of Economics and has taught at SOAS, University of London, while also advising on conflict resolution issues in Yemen. Her books include Islam, Memory and Morality in Yemen: Ruling Families in Transition and Mirrored Loss: A Yemeni Woman's Life Story.
