G. E. Von Grunebaum

Gustave E. von Grunebaum was an Austrian-born historian and Arabist known for his scholarship on Islam and the medieval Islamic world. He held academic posts at the University of New York, the University of Chicago, and UCLA, where he served as professor of Middle Eastern history until his death.
