G. Beer

Dame Gillian Patricia Beer is a British literary critic and academic who served as President of Clare Hall from 1994 to 2001 and King Edward VII Professor of English Literature at the University of Cambridge from 1994 to 2002. She is a distinguished scholar in her field and was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Literature by the University of Chichester in 2019.
