Fred Ehrlich

Fred Ehrlich, also known as Frederick M. Ehrlich, M.D., was a child psychiatrist and adult analyst who practiced in Newton, MA, and later became a published poet. At age 85 in 2015, he published his first book of poetry, Near the End of the Voyage, with Flutter Press, focusing on themes of aging, illness, loss, and death, followed by two additional poetry books. He died on January 28, 2020, at age 89 in Chestnut Hill, MA, after a long struggle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
