Franz Delitzsch
Franz Delitzsch (23 February 1813 – 4 March 1890) was a German Lutheran theologian and Hebraist born in Leipzig, best known for his 1877 translation of the New Testament into Hebrew and his Old Testament commentaries with Carl Friedrich Keil. He wrote extensively on biblical commentaries, Jewish antiquities, Biblical psychology, and Christian apologetics, and held professorships at the Universities of Rostock, Erlangen, and Leipzig.
