Frank Atkinson

Dr. Frank Atkinson CBE (1924–2014) was a British museum director and curator best known as the founder-director of Beamish Museum in County Durham. He was a major advocate for preserving the industrial heritage of North-East England and helped establish the museum as an open-air 'living' museum of northern life.
