Francine Pascal
Francine Pascal (née Rubin) was an American author best known for creating the Sweet Valley High series of young adult novels, which debuted in 1983 and spawned numerous spin-offs like The Unicorn Club and Sweet Valley University.[1][2] She also wrote the Fearless young-adult thriller series and worked as a screenwriter for the 1960s soap opera The Young Marrieds, producing over 180 publications that captivated generations of readers.[2][4] Pascal transformed young-adult literature by crafting relatable adolescent stories in the Sweet Valley universe, viewing high school as a microcosm of the real world.[2]
