Frances Bevan
Emma Frances Bevan (1827–1909) was a British poet and hymn translator best known for translating German hymns into English, including the collection 'Songs of Eternal Life.' She was the daughter of Bishop Philip Nicholas Shuttleworth and married banker Robert Cooper Lee Bevan in 1856, later residing in Cannes, France, where she spent her final years and composed many hymns.
