Fisheries and Food Ministry of Agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food (MAFF) was a United Kingdom government department responsible for agriculture, fisheries, and later food policy. It was created in 1889 as the Board of Agriculture, took its final name in 1955, and was formally dissolved in 2002 when its functions were transferred to the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
