Fina Casalderrey
Fina Casalderrey, born Xosefa Casalderrey Fraga on August 11, 1951, in Xeve (Pontevedra), Galicia, Spain, is a renowned Galician writer, educator, and specialist in children's and young adult literature. She debuted in 1991 with the novel Mutacións xenéticas and gained prominence with O misterio dos fillos de Lúa, which won the National Prize for Children's and Young Adult Literature in 1996; her works have been translated into over a dozen languages. A secondary school teacher and member of the Royal Galician Academy, she has also authored theatre scripts, gastronomy books, and received awards like the Castelao Medal in 2003 and the Premio da Cultura Galega in 2015.[1][2][3]
