Ferdinand Schevill
Ferdinand Schevill (1868–1954) was an American historian who taught at the University of Chicago from 1892 to 1937. He graduated from Yale University in 1889 and earned his PhD from Freiburg in 1892. He is known for his works on European history, including his 1922 History of the Balkan Peninsula.
