Felix Ringel

Felix Ringel is an Assistant Professor in Social Anthropology at Durham University, focusing on time, sustainability, and urban development in postindustrial Europe. He has conducted long-term fieldwork in German post-industrial cities, including Hoyerswerda and Bremerhaven, examining how urban communities develop new relationships with the future amid post-industrial decline. He is the author of Back to the Postindustrial Future: An Ethnography of Germany's Fastest-Shrinking City (2018).
