Fathali M. Moghaddam
Fathali M. Moghaddam is an Iranian-born psychologist and Professor of Psychology at Georgetown University, where he also directs the Conflict Resolution Program and the Interdisciplinary Program in Cognitive Science. Born in Iran and educated in England at the University of Liverpool (B.A.) and University of Surrey (M.Sc., Ph.D.), he worked for the United Nations and McGill University before joining Georgetown in 1990. His research focuses on radicalization, intergroup conflict, the psychology of democracy and dictatorship, terrorism, and peace psychology, with recent books including 'The Psychology of Revolution' (2024) and 'Political Plasticity' (2023).
