Dr. Frances Larson is a research associate at the Pitt Rivers Museum in Oxford and a writer whose work explores objects, museums, and their influence on people and institutions. She is the author of *Severed: A History of Heads Lost and Heads Found*, *An Infinity of Things*, and *Undreamed Shores: The Hidden Heroines of British Anthropology*.
