Evelyn Waugh
Evelyn Waugh (1903-1966) was a prominent British satirist and novelist, renowned for works like Decline and Fall (1928), Vile Bodies (1930), A Handful of Dust (1934), and Brideshead Revisited (1945), which explored themes of 1920s high society, modernism, and Catholicism after his 1930 conversion to Roman Catholicism.
