Eve Bunting
Eve Bunting (née Bolton) was a Northern Irish-born American author who wrote over 250 books primarily for children and young adults, spanning picture books, novels, fiction, and non-fiction on topics from Irish folktales to social issues like riots and homelessness.[1][2] She immigrated to the United States in 1958, began writing after a course at Pasadena City College, and published her first book, The Two Giants, in 1971 or 1972.[1][3] Her works earned awards including the Caldecott Honor for Smoky Night and the Regina Medal.[2][3]
