European Court of Human Rights

The European Court of Human Rights is an international court established in 1959 under the European Convention on Human Rights to hear complaints about alleged violations of civil and political rights. Based in Strasbourg, France, it is part of the Council of Europe and has issued more than 10,000 judgments.
