Esther Friesner
Esther M. Friesner, born July 16, 1951, in New York City, is an acclaimed American science fiction and fantasy author known for her humorous style that addresses gender equality and social justice.[2][3] She earned a B.A. in Spanish and drama from Vassar College and M.A. and Ph.D. in Spanish from Yale University, where she taught before becoming a full-time writer, poet, and playwright.[1][5] Friesner has published over 30 novels, 150 short stories, and edited seven anthologies, winning a Nebula Award.[5]
