Espido Freire
Espido Freire, born María Laura Espido Freire, is a Spanish writer and columnist born in Bilbao in 1974. She won the Premio Planeta in 1999 for *Melocotones helados*, becoming the youngest author to receive that award, and has also published novels, essays, children's literature, and poetry.
