Ernest H. Swift

Ernest H. Swift was a distinguished professor of analytical chemistry at Caltech, serving as chairman of the chemistry division from 1958 to 1963 and becoming emeritus in 1967. He joined Caltech (then Throop College of Technology) in 1919 as a teaching fellow and earned his PhD there in 1924. His undergraduate education was completed at Randolph-Macon College and the University of Virginia.
