Ernest Findlay Scott
Ernest Findlay Scott was a plain-speaking, pipe-smoking Presbyterian minister and one of the world's top authorities on the New Testament. He served as Professor Emeritus of Biblical Theology at Union Theological Seminary and held academic positions at Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, and the University of Glasgow. Scott authored several theological publications, including 'The Nature of the Gospel Record' and 'The Lord's Prayer,' and was known for his focus on individual relation to God rather than man-in-the-mass.
