Erin McKean

Erin McKean (born 1971) is an American lexicographer, author, and founder of Wordnik.com, the world's largest online dictionary, and Reverb Technologies. She previously served as editor-in-chief of American Dictionaries at Oxford University Press and principal editor of the New Oxford American Dictionary, second edition, with a BA/MA in Linguistics from the University of Chicago. McKean has authored books on words such as Weird and Wonderful Words and fashion-related works including The Secret Lives of Dresses and The Hundred Dresses.
