Eric Halsall

Eric Halsall was a prominent figure in the sheepdog world, known as a journalist, author, wildlife broadcaster, farm manager, naturalist, sheepdog trial judge, and course director. Born in Burnley, Lancashire, England, he gained fame for his fourteen years as commentator and course director for the BBC's *One Man and His Dog* television series. He authored books like *Sheepdogs--My Faithful Friends*, which was published in October 1996 shortly before his death.
