Enos Abijah Mills

Enos Abijah Mills (1870–1922) was an American naturalist, conservationist, author, and homesteader best known as the 'Father of Rocky Mountain National Park,' which he campaigned to establish in 1915.[1][2][3] Born in Kansas, he moved to Colorado as a youth for health reasons, scaled Longs Peak over 300 times, and was inspired by John Muir to dedicate his life to nature writing and activism.[1][3] He authored books like *Story of a Thousand Year Pine* (1909) and operated Longs Peak House as a retreat for intellectuals.[1][3]
