Emily Gale

Emily Gale is an Australian author specializing in children's and young adult literature, with books including the junior fiction duology Eliza Boom's Diary, middle-grade novels like The Other Side of Summer and Elsewhere Girls, and YA novels such as Girl Aloud, Steal My Sunshine, and I Am Out with Lanterns. She has worked in the children's book industry for over 25 years, starting as an editor in London before moving to Melbourne, where she served as a children's book buyer at Readings bookstore and helped establish their Children’s Book Prize. Her works have been published internationally and shortlisted for awards including the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards and Aurealis Awards.
